OceanDB Pro MCP

Model Context Protocol server for OceanBase technical content and consultation workflow. Read-only tools use published OceanDB Pro material. Consultation tools send data to VigilesHQ only after you confirm contact in chat.

OceanDB Pro is independent and is not affiliated with OceanBase or other database vendors. See privacy for MCP data handling.

Remote endpoint

Streamable HTTP (stateless, for ChatGPT developer mode or remote MCP clients):

Include the trailing slash. Without it, Vercel returns a 308 redirect, which breaks ChatGPT connector setup. Consultation token issuance requires MCP_API_SECRET on the server. Read-only tools do not need client credentials.

Local HTTP (testing)

Listens on http://127.0.0.1:3100/mcp by default (MCP_HTTP_PORT overrides the port).

  • get_oceanbase_resource Fetch one published article by canonical www.oceandbpro.com URL.
  • get_oceanbase_expert_profile Return the public profile for Ankit Mehta (independent author, not official OceanBase).
  • compare_oceanbase Balanced OceanBase vs MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or TiDB notes.
  • find_oceanbase_runbook Match operational symptoms to published runbooks and safe read-only checks.
  • estimate_oceanbase_cluster Planning estimate from the same sizing model as the site calculator.
  • assess_oceanbase_requirement Preliminary scoping for migration, HA, performance, training, or operations.
  • prepare_consultation Open the consultation widget after the user explicitly asks for help.
  • submit_consultation_request Submit contact details with explicit consent and a one-time token.
